Feldman on Free Speech

"Pessah tried to use a floor microphone, but it had been turned off by an off-stage sound technician following hand signals from on-stage party official Jeff Feldman"

One newly elected committee member, teacher Michael Pessah, drew sustained cheers when he turned to the audience and shouted, "I don't know what's going on." Pessah tried to use a floor microphone, but it had been turned off by an off-stage sound technician following hand signals from on-stage party official Jeff Feldman. At one point, Canarsie state Assemb. Anthony Genovesi stood up and bellowed, "If there is anyone from the press here, would you please note that they have turned off the microphone."
